前NBA球员罗伊斯-怀特参议员初选获胜😳将竞争国会议员资格👀

08月18日讯 33岁的前NBA球员罗伊斯-怀特在当地时间周三的明尼苏达州共和党参议员初选中获胜，11月将竞争最终的国会议员资格。

在初选中，作为下狗的怀特竟以38.5%的选票从八个候选中脱颖而出。

怀特在2012年首轮第16顺位被火箭选中，因害怕坐飞机不愿打客场比赛与火箭闹僵，在NBA呆了不久便辗转海外联赛。怀特随后改打MMA综合格斗，在2021年输掉了格斗生涯唯一的一场比赛，之后开始从政。

怀特曾在2022年众议院议员初选中落败，作为一名黑人候选，他通过吸引该州有色人种选票扩大基础。
