在今天凌晨进行的夏季热身赛中，亚特兰大0-3负于德甲升班马圣保利。扎尼奥洛缺席本场比赛，《罗马体育报》称，扎尼奥洛是因右脚肌腱炎症无法参赛。北京时间8月15日凌晨3时，欧洲超级杯，亚特兰大将对阵皇马，目前还不确定扎尼奥洛能否及时康复参赛。

扎尼奥洛在今夏加盟亚特兰大，不过这名意大利国脚过去的职业生涯中伤病较多。而亚特兰大的库普梅纳斯要求转会并和主帅加斯佩里尼发生冲突，也可能缺席对皇马的比赛。
